By now most of you have probably heard about the new Horizon 7700 machine from Janome. It's the most advanced sewing machine Janome has ever made (our
gushing review here), and they have been flying out of the store as fast as we can get them. Fortunately Janome has got two factories making them, and there is a ready supply of them. If you haven't seen it yet, we invite you to come in and take a test drive.
Because of so many people falling in love with the 7700, we now have a good supply of previously-loved model 6600P machines. This is the model that was in Diane's personal sewing room at home, at least until the 7700 came out, and it's a standout machine by any measure. Because of our trade-up policy, the machines coming back to us are low-use and well cared for. All have been serviced and are as close to "out of the box" new as we can make them. Currently we have several at just $999. If you've always wanted one of these models, now is the time!
In the "Coming soon" department, we have ordered a number of quilt kits featuring the new Robert Kaufman prints in Minkee Blankee. We'll also have yardage in the new patterns.
Here's a "Save the Date" alert for fans of Buzz Tools. Lisa will be making one more trip down this year. She'll be doing a Trunk Show on December 1, and hands-on class on December 2. Many of you skipped the last Trunk Show last time on the mistaken belief that it was the same thing she did before. This is not the case, and the December show will include a lot of NEW stuff! Lisa has been working all summer on new projects and new ideas that you won't want to miss.
Finally, as summer winds down Labor Day is looming large. In keeping with our tradition, on Labor Day we will labor and the store will be open from 10am to 6pm. Stay cool!
No, not really but if you sew the Christmas season starts NOW. Gift projects always seem to take longer than we'd like, so an early start is always a good idea. Plus, when it's over 100 outside, sewing on Christmas projects just might make you feel cooler! Well that, a cold lemonade, and a good air conditioner.
